Training Description: Winsor Learning Sonday System 1 Training is an introduction to Multisensory
Teaching Methodology and a detailed look at the implementation of Sonday System1 Reading Intervention Program. This training gives one hands-on use of the materials, and practical strategies to use with struggling students. The short intense training session will allow educators to immediately and competently use Sonday System 1 with their students. Our professional development is constructed around the needs of the learners and pays particular attention to evidence based adult learning principles. Focus on: Sonday System 1 Instructional Materials, Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, and Fluency Instruction.

The Sonday System is an Orton-Gillingham based, systematic, explicit, sequential, and cumulative multisensory language instruction program which cements student learning into long-term memory. Arlene Sonday, author and the “architect” of our approach, is a Founding Fellow and the first President of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.
