Winsor Learning provides districts with the opportunity to formulate a strong professional development relationship. Winsor Learning acknowledges that program innovation requires a long commitment to help district personnel make a professional shift to a new model of evaluation and consultation.

With the SIBS product, Winsor Learning offers a supervisory experience to the Team Leader and Observation Team. The primary focus of the supervisory experience is to strengthen the implementation skills of district personnel. The goal is for “independent practice”. The supervisory model includes a series of site visits between the SIBS Trainer, Team Leader (TL) and Observation Team (OT) members.

Case discussion is the bedrock of the supervisory experience. The time commitment, length of session and number of meetings, is tailored to the individual needs of the district. As part of the supervisory experience, the SIBS trainer is available to work with team members and teachers to help them implement action plans and to learn the SIBS process. Typically, clients choose 3 to 5 site visits that vary by objective and title.

Coaching Site visits help team members understand the hard skills associated with using the program. The skills learned during these visits are the type that are similar from site to site and project to project. Coaching visits accomplish the following: How to deliver case presentations by TL and OT members; Data Observation Book review accuracy; organization of data into graphic form; formulation of the Teacher-Child Contact Chart. Consulting Visits are executed by high level cosultants experienced in interpretation and presenttion of observation findings and creating action plans based on the data. Consulting Visits accomplish the following: Interpretation of all sources of data; recognition of patterns of behavior and the continuum of interventions that may help; Write-up of Summary Narrative Report and Action Plan; presentation of information to parents, teachers, administrators and consultants.
