Winsor Community Learning

For the past ten years, magic has been happening in South Central Los Angeles.

St. Lawrence of Brindisi School is a Catholic elementary school in Watts, South Central Los Angeles. It has its share of struggling students. Leaders at the school started an after-school tutoring program using teenagers from the area to tutor these struggling students. They contacted Winsor Learning in August, 2001 looking for a tool that was easy for teenagers to use, but still effective in raising student reading scores.

They bought Sonday Systems for their teen tutors and had our experts train the teens to use the program with these younger students. 4 days a week, teen tutors work with stuggling readers using the Sonday System. The results are impressive.
